Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium visits E Kazakhstan rgn
UST-KAMENOGORSK. KAZINFORM - Governor of East Kazakhstan region Daniyal Akhmetov has held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Belgium to Kazakhstan Michelle Petermans in Ust-Kamenogorsk.
Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium has arrived in the region with a two-day visit. The sides discussed the issues of bilateral cooperation between the East Kazakhstan region and the Kingdom of Belgium. Mr. Petermans also plans to visit "Kazzinc"and "Ulba Metallurgical Plant", and hold a number of meetings. In particular, the Ambassador is expected to meet with representatives of the regional chamber of entrepreneurs, center for support of investors under the National Company "SEC "Yertys, center for ecological safety and non-governmental organizations on environmental protection, leadership of "Radiation medicine and ecology" SRI. Cooperation with Belgium was established under the Memorandum of Understanding signed between East Kazakhstan region and AVEKSOM (Walloon Agency for Export) in 2010 in order to jumpstart the long-term trade and economic relations, as well as partnership in the field of culture, science and technology.
