Ambassador Kenneth Fairfax opens eleventh American Corner in Pavlodar
ASTANA. April 18. KAZINFORM On April 17, Ambassador Kenneth Fairfax, together with the Deputy Akim of the Pavlodar Oblast, Aryn Orsariev, officially opened the eleventh American Corner in the city of Pavlodar at the S. Torajgyrov Pavlodar Oblast Universal Scientific Library.
"None of these books and computers donated to the American Corner will be useful unless you come and use them," said Ambassador Fairfax. The U.S. Embassy provided the American Corner with reference materials, fiction and non-fiction books, CDs, and video resources that cover a broad range of American culture and history. Using these materials, the people of Pavlodar will be able to learn more about the United States, study English, and receive timely information about U.S. exchange programs. The American Corner in Pavlodar already offers regular language classes, an American art club, movie viewing, and public events, the press service of the US Diplomatic Mission to Kazakhstan said.
