‘Altai - gold cradle of the Turkic world’ forum to be held under auspices of the 550th anniversary of the Kazakh Khanate
UST-KAMENOGORSK. KAZINFORM - This year the traditional international forum "Altai - gold cradle of the Turkic world" will be held under the auspices of the 5050th anniversary of the Kazakh Khanate, Deputy Akim of East Kazakhstan region Zhaksylyk Omar announced at a press briefing.
"Major international events including a forum" Altai - gold cradle of the Turkic world, an ethno festival "Bіrlіgіmіz zharaskan", sports tournaments will be carried out to mark the 550th anniversary of the Kazakh Khanate in the region," said Zhaksylyk Omar. Total it is planned to hold about 40 major events. The region will hold an exhibition of visual art "Kazakh handygy", competition of yurts - portable, bent dwelling structure traditionally used by nomads as their home, youth forum "Tagylymdy Tarikh". Regional theaters, museums and libraries will also partake in the popularization of the history of the Kazakh Khanate.
