Almaty to hold first largest ball in CIS
ALMATY. September 9. KAZINFORM /Serik Koibagarov/ A press conference devoted to the first Charity Ball scheduled for November 21 in Almaty took place today.
According to the organizers, over two thousand guests will gather for the event. Among them are prominent political figures, representatives of business elite, culture and science of Kazakhstan, Russia and other CIS and non-CIS countries. The Ball's Honored Committee will include Vice Minister of Culture and Information Askar Buribayev, Aakim of Almaty Akhmetzhan Yessimov and people's artist of Kazakhstan Zhaniya Aubakirova. First Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Nurtay Abykayev will chair the Committee.
Famous theater and movie stars of Kazakhstan as well as Russia - Yelena Korikova, Ludmila Artemyeva, Andrey Chernyshov, Tatyana Arntgolts and Ivan Zhidkov were invited to the ball.
The tickets will cost around KZT 10, 000 - 65, 000. All collected money will be spent for disabled children's houses.
The organizers highlighted "the event will become the first large ball in the CIS".
