Almaty to hold charity event on Nauryz and 20th anniversary of independence

ALMATY. April 4. KAZINFORM /Sara Mustafina/ A charity event dedicated to the Nauryz and 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence is to be held in Almaty on April 14. Organizer is the Almaty Committee of the Red Crescent Society of Kazakhstan.
The event is addressed to low-income pensioners, disabled persons, veterans of the Great Patriotic War and labor, Chernobyl cleanup veterans and Afghan war veterans.
"We hold such events not only in holidays, but in weekdays as well. Last year we rendered assistance to the needy people to the amount of KZT 3.25 mln," Chairman of the Almaty Committee of the Red Crescent Society of Kazakhstan Dariko Khassangaliyeva said.
