Almaty region on alert due to mudslide warning

ALMATY. KAZINFORM - Kazhydromet, Kazakhstan's national forecaster, says that there is a possibility of mudslide in the mountains of Almaty region on August 22-23.
Locals and guests should avoid venturing out into those areas as heavy rains can cause a mudslide in the mountains.
"It is highly recommended to avoid mudslide prone areas in Almaty region," the statement reads.
