Almaty narcotics police seize a ton of marijuana

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Almaty police say they have seized huge amounts of marijuana at a local railway station on Monday.
A narcotics police statement Tuesday said they arrested a 27-year-old resident of the Almaty region after seizing more than a ton of marijuana. The man was taken in custody for suspected trafficking of marijuana on July 7 as part of anti-drug mission Koknar-2014. A criminal investigation has been launched.
