Almaty holds XI week of photo art

ALMATY. January 8. KAZINFORM /Yelena Ilinskaya/ Admirers of photographic art from ?Medeo? Almaty photo club celebrated 170 anniversary of photography, organizing regular eleventh ?Week of photo art of Almaty?, Kazinform reports.
Four photo exhibitions opened in the House of Scientists, including two personal exhibitions of Aleksandr Zhdanko and Vladimir Kurbatski. 230 colored and black-and-white photos are exhibited.
The main event of the exhibition is awarding of winners of ?Gold objective ? 2008? annual photo contest that gathered 68 participants this year. 15 of them were handed out diplomas from competent jury.
