ALMATY. September 20. KAZINFORM /Aigul Turysbekova/ Over 9 months gain in production in industry made up almost 21 percent. Output of construction materials, textiles, products in the food industry, generation of electric and thermal energy increased as well. Almaty Mayor Akhmetzhan Yessimov has announced it in the course of celebration of the City Day.
"Almaty has always been one of the most important centers of public and political life of Kazakhstan", A.Yessimov emphasized. According to him, growth in housing is ensured in the city. From the beginning of the year there were constructed about 730,000 square meters of housing. The volume of trade turnover increased by 7 percent and it is one of the main indexes of business activity improvement in the society.
The Mayor noted that conditions for small and medium business activation were improved in Almaty.
