Almaty/Astana-Sanya charter flights resumed
ASTANA. August 7. KAZINFORM - Agreement on cooperation in the field of tourism was signed today in Astana between Kazakhstan and China. Among other things, the document implies resumption of charter flights "Almaty / Astana - Sanya".
"It should be noted that today Kazakhstan is one of the most dynamic and harmoniously developing countries of the Central Asian region and the CIS. We are looking forward to working in the tourism sector ", said at the signing ceremony, Party secretary of the city of Sanya, the honorary chairman of the People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries of Hainan Province Jiang Xixian.
"China has been one of the first countries to recognize the independence of Kazakhstan. We are ready to collaborate and we hope to further develop our relations ", said the chairman of the Tourism Industry of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan Kuat Tanysbaev.
Note: Trips from Almaty to the resort of Sanya are very popular with tourists of Kazakhstan. The city is located on the southern island of Hainan. Every year, there are hundreds of Kazakh people resting there. The flight was opened late 2009, and operates during the peak tourist season.
