Almaty and Astana to be embraced with 4G network in 2013
ASTANA. August 21. KAZINFORM By the beginning of 2013 4G network will embrace Almaty and Astana cities, the press service of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kazakhstan informs.
Besides, it was noted that building of the network of the fourth generation began in 2012.
"By the begging of 2013 this network has to fully cover Almaty and Astana and all the regional centers of the country by 2014," the statement of the Ministry reads.
Moreover, the network will cover all the localities with the number of population more than 50 thousand people by 2015 and all district centers by 2018.
Besides, a project on introduction of mobile communication standard 4G Long Term Evolution is implemented in Kazakhstan. It will be possible to use radio-frequency spectrum within the framework of this project.
It should be noted that a pilot project is already launched and 5 base stations have been established for holding necessary tests.
