Alexander Bublik bows out in Stuttgart ATP 250 semifinals

Kazakhstan's No.1 men's singles player, Alexander Bublik, lost in the semifinals of the ATP 250 tournament in Stuttgart, Germany, Qazinform News Agency reports, citing the Kazakhstan Tennis Federation.

Bublik, ranked 11th in the world and seeded third, took on world No.9 Taylor Fritz of the United States in the semifinals.

The match lasted two sets and ended with Bublik losing 4-6, 4-6.

The players spent 1 hour and 9 minutes on court. During that time, Alexander served nine aces, committed five double faults, and converted one of three break point opportunities.

As Qazinform reported earlier, Alexander Bublik defeated France’s Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, ranked 93rd in the world, in a tightly contested match.
