Al-Farabi Kazakh National University takes part in X Forum of Interregional Coop b/w Kazakhstan and Russia

The delegation headed by the rector of the KNU, academician Galym Mutanov consisted of scientists, directors of research institutes and research centers, faculty deans and students of the university, the press service of the University informs.

At the industrial exhibition which was opened within the conference the KNU introduced innovations on current scientific and technological sectors including nano- and biotechnology, traditional and alternative energy, informational technologies and security, environmental protection, medicine as well as samples of the output produced by «Spin-off» University company.

During the forum rector of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University met with the chairman of the Boris Yeltsin Ural Federal University. The sides discussed prospects of cooperation in the scientific and educational spheres and signed a number of agreements on joint projects. The two universities join efforts towards the development of "green economy" and innovation, the introduction of scientific and experimental development of scientists in industry, the enhancing of academic exchange of teachers and students.

In addition the scientists of the KNU attended panel sessions and the students took part in the youth forum called "Leadership and innovation in the twenty-first century: looking into the future".
