Al-Farabi Kazakh National University joins International Association of University Presidents
ASTANA. April 11. KAZINFORM President of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Galym Mutanov has become a member of the International Association of University Presidents (IAUP).
The Al-Farabi Kazakh National University represented by its president is the first tertiary institution in Kazakhstan and Central Asia to join this prestigious association.
"The Al-Farabi Kazakh National University has proved to be an active participant of the United Nations Academic Impact Program and earned an international recognition," IAUP President Dr. Neal King wrote in a letter.
By accessing the IAUP, the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University will become a full-fledge participant of all events conducted under the auspices of the association in the field of sustainable development, science and innovations, human capital and many more.
The International Association of University Presidents is a non-governmental organization with the highest consultation rights at the United Nations and formal consultation rights with UNESCO. It was founded in 1964 with headquarters in New York. It is the association of university chief executives from Europe, the U.S., Canada, China, Japan, India, Australia and so on.
