Aktobe region plans to double its economy for 5 years - Governor
AKTOBE. February 11. KAZINFORM. /Samal Yendibayeva/ 112 industrial innovation projects with the budget of USD 12.5 billion are planned to launched in Aktobe region by 2020. "Provided that we implement these projects, we will double our economy for the first five years", Akim of Aktobe region Yeleussin Sagindikov has said making a report at the enlarged sitting of the regional maslikhat (local representative body).
"If over 18 years the industrial output of the region has amounted to USD 4.6 billion, then by means of new projects the overall production output can make USD 6-7 billion in 5-6 years. This is called the doubling of the economy. This will ensure improvement of living standards and solution of many social problems", the Akim said.
As is known, 28 industrial innovation projects with the budget of USD 6.7 billion of Aktobe region were included in Kazakhstan's Industrialization Map.
Mr. Sagindikov noted that amid the crisis of 2009 the region implemented the tasks set by the President of Kazakhstan and planned to continue program of forced industrialization. Investments in the region's capital stock increase every year.
