Aktobe customs officials complicit in criminal group legalizating stolen oil
AKTOBE. October 3. KAZINFORM - Aktobe prosecutors suppressed evidence of oil theft from the ownerless fields.
At the moment, illegal turnover of oil in the whole area is not less than 100,000 tons per year which worth about KZT 10 billion, said the regional prosecutor's office.
For example , in June, was arrested an organized criminal group , which was engaged in receiving, processing and shipment of oil through false documents through two firms. It turned out that the criminal group involved members of "Energetic" customs post of Aktobe region.
Financial police opened a criminal case against the financial director of "Altyn Koz Munay" and "NGP-Munay Product" LLC Julia Lee-Ko-Shin-Lipiridi and other persons upon the acquisition and selling of a large amount of oil without documents.
Criminal group had sold more than 18,000 tons of crude oil worth about KZT1 billion.
Julia Lee-Ko-Shin-Lipiridi was sentenced to 6 years imprisonment with confiscation of property in the amount of KZT 70 million (houses, cars, money, jewelry). Her husband Mr. Lipiridi and another member of the group Mr. Molbagarov are wanted.
At the initiative of the prosecutors the Ministry of oil and gas has put "Kara Tobe" field under the management of "KazMunayGas" JSC.
