Aktau firm brings 55 t of contraband worth $15,000 via seaport

AKTAU. January 14. KAZINFORM - Aktau firm has delivered a consignment of goods weighing 54.7 tons which cost USD 15,000 from Turkey via the seaport of the city.
The firm's employees have forged documents required for customs clearance and imported contraband batch without payment of customs duties in the sum of KZT 414,000.
"Customs Regulations Department opened a criminal case on economic goods smuggling in especially large scale. The investigation will reveal all the circumstances and identify those involved in the case", commented the Head of Risk Analysis and Statistics of the Customs Regulations Department of Mangistau region Maksat Akmuratov.
