Aktau and the Chinese port Qingdao to coop in economy, tourism

Chinese city of Karamay has become a brother city of Aktau. Today the delegation of the port city Qingdao has visited the Akimat of Aktau and held meeting with the deputy Mayor of the town Nurlybai Akkulov. The Chinese delegation included an interpreter Ni Cungsya, president of "Port Qingdao" JSC Du Chuandzhi, head of the city Office of External Affairs Ms. Qin Syuyun, chairman of the Development and Reform Commission Sun Li and the head of the Standing Committee of People's Congress of Qingdao Yang Jun. According to the members of the delegation, Qingdao has a population of almost 3 million people. Qingdao is a major seaport, naval base, and industrial centre. The Port of Qingdao is a seaport on the Yellow Sea in the vicinity of Qingdao, Shandong. It is one of the ten busiest ports in the world. "In our city there are 7 high schools for 70 thousand students. Our cities may cooperate in the tourism (annually Qingdao is visited by more than 300 thousand tourists), economic, educational, scientific and cultural sectors. We are ready to sign the relevant documents," said Yang Jun. According to his words the two states may use the Alashankou railway and sea communication. In his opinion, transportation through the sea passage will significantly reduce costs. It should be noted that the guests will visit the International Sea Commercial Port of Aktau.
