Akhmetov received Federal Councillor Johann Schneider-Ammann

The meeting discussed the development of economic and trade ties and strengthening cooperation in realization of industrial and innovative program, in particular, increased cooperation in investment, bringing advanced technology to the Swiss agricultural sector, mechanical and plant engineering, healthcare, tourism industry.

The sides noted the prospects of Kazakh-Swiss Business Council, "opening new opportunities for cooperation between countries."

J. Schneider-Ammann stressed the readiness of the Swiss side to develop further "mutually beneficial relations between the states," and called for the early conclusion of negotiations on a free trade agreement between the countries of the Customs Union and the state of the European Free Trade Association.
