Akhmetov: Necessary to deal with building material manufacturers driving up prices

ASTANA. May 14. KAZINFORM Today during the Government's meeting, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Serik Akhmetov has instructed the Agency for Competition Protection to find out why basic building materials manufacturers have raised the cost of production by 30-40% in the space of a month.
This issue has been raised in connection with the fact that, according to the head of the Government, the builders refuse to build houses on the program "Affordable Housing 2020" for the previously determined price per square meter.
"The prices of construction materials are growing up, and a certain amount of construction of affordable housing does not fit our builders.
