Air taxi service operates in Astana

ALMATY. KAZINFORM - Air taxi started operation in the capital of Kazakhstan in September 2014.

According to the director and founder of Astana Business Aviation company Kaisar Shynybayev, air taxi service was launched in September of the past year. At present the taxi carries out 10 flights from Astana to Borovoye, Karaganda, Kokshetau and Kostanay. Helicopters are used to transport passengers. The aircraft cover distances of up to 600 kilometers. The fleet of the company has 16 Eurocopters of Kazakhstan assembly, 7 Russian Mi-8 copters and 3 Robinson helicopters manufactured in the U.S. An average cost is estimated from 300 to 800 thousand tenge. The company plans to establish a training center for pilots of the air taxi service.
