Air Products eyes investment in Kazakhstan’s gas processing and petrochemical industries
Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on Thursday held a meeting with Eduardo Menezes, Chief Executive Officer of Air Products, Qazinform News Agency cites Akorda.
During the meeting with the head of the U.S.-based company, which specializes in natural gas processing and the production of industrial gases, the two sides discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in the sector.
President Tokayev noted that the United States is one of Kazakhstan’s largest economic partners and emphasized the country’s interest in strengthening mutually beneficial ties.
For his part, Eduardo Menezes stated that Air Products is considering investment opportunities in Kazakhstan’s economy. The company has expressed interest in implementing projects in gas processing, petrochemicals, and advanced coal processing.
In response, Tokayev welcomed the initiative and reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s readiness to provide the necessary support for potential investment projects.
Earlier, Qazinform reported President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev had held a meeting with chairmen of the Supreme Courts of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) member states.
