Air Astana sued for environmental laws’ violation
ASTANA. May 27. KAZINFORM - Almaty Aviation Transport Prosecutor's Office conducted analysis of complying with environmental legislation by “Air Astana” JSC, "Aircraft plant number 405" JSC and "Altayir Air" LLC, the press service of the Main Transport Prosecutor's Office of Kazakhstan reports.
"The checkup of specified business entities has identified numerous violations of environmental laws relating to the placement of solid waste in undesignated areas, contamination of soil and etc.", the press service informs.
By the acts introduced by the prosecutor towards these violations they have been eliminated. The responsible officials were set disciplinary and administrative responsibilities with a fine in the amount of KZT 1,393,335 (tenge).
