'Air Astana' commenced new routes to Georgia and Russia
ALMATY. June 2. KAZINFORM /Yekaterina Ionova/ The national carrier of Kazakhstan - 'Air Astana' company commences new routes that are called to link the city of Almaty with the capital of Georgia - Tbilisi and Samara city in Russia.
The flights will be carried out on new aircrafts Embraer-190 on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The flight time to Tbilisi will be 4 hours and 3,5 to Samara, the press service of the company informs.
According to 'Air Astana' President Peter Foster, the new flights the company commences to operate are the next steps of strategic plan of 'Air Astana' to expand the route network beyond the borders of Central Asia. As was earlier reported, recently flights to Baku, Bishkek, Dushanbe, St. Petersburg, Tashkent and Urumqi were opened. In total, there are seven new routes the company started to operate for the last seven months.
