Agriculture Ministry: Kazakhstan harvests 19 million tons of crops

ASTANA. October 31. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan has harvested nearly 19 million tons of crops, Vice Minister of Agriculture Muslim Umiryayev told a Thursday press conference of the Central Communications Service under the President of Kazakhstan.
Based on the preliminary data of regional administrations, the crops have been secured from 97% of areas across republic.
According to Vice Minister Umiryayev, the export potential might amount to 9-10 million tons, taking into account domestic consumption and remaining carry-over from last year. Incidentally, Kazakhstan exported 7.1 million tons of crops in 2012.
