Agricultural output made KZT 212.1 bln in 2009 – Akmola region

KOKSHETAU. January 18. KAZINFORM /Zhanmurat Zhanaidarov/ Last year the output of agricultural production made KZT 212.1 bln in Akmola region, 45% higher than that of the same period of 2008.
As a result of the use of advanced moisture saving technology the region received 5.8 mln tons of grain - twofold higher than in 2008. Last year there were produced 101.1 thousand tons of meat and 338 mln pieces of eggs.
26 projects amounted to KZT 15.6 bln were started last year in order to create the food belt around Astana, 16 out of them have already been completed. The rest part of the projects will be finished this year.
