The vice minister stated that Kazakhstan’s agricultural machinery fleet is fully ready for fieldwork, including 133,900 tractors, 5,600 high-performance seeding complexes, and 71,400 seeders currently in operation.

The Ministry of Agriculture noted that government support measures helped raise the machinery renewal rate to 6.5% by the end of 2025, while reducing the level of equipment wear and tear by 10%.

Domestic agricultural machinery production is also continuing to grow in Kazakhstan. Over the past year, output increased by 22%, and in 2026 local enterprises plan to produce around 9,900 units of equipment.

“Government support measures are primarily aimed at domestic manufacturers. The reimbursement rate for locally produced machinery is set at 30%, while imported equipment is subsidized at rates ranging from 15% to 25%. Renewing the machinery fleet will help improve the quality and consistency of sowing operations,” the vice minister said.

In addition, farmers were allocated 402,000 tons of subsidized diesel fuel for the sowing campaign. To date, more than 204,000 tons have already been delivered.

Earlier, Qazinform News Agency reported that Kazakhstan’s sown area reaches 23.8 mln hectares.
