Agenda for next session of CSTO Defense Ministers Council approved
MOSCOW. KAZINFORM - The Permanent Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) has approved the agendas for the sessions of the Defense Ministers Council and the Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils, BelTA learned from CSTO spokesman Vladimir Zainetdinov after a CSTO session in Moscow.
"The session discussed and approved draft agendas for the sessions of the CSTO Defense Ministers Council and the Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils scheduled for 19 and 20 May 2015 respectively," Vladimir Zainetdinov explained.
The CSTO Permanent Council made a decision to submit the draft resolution of the CSTO Collective Security Council on the appointment of the chairperson of the Interstate Commission for Military and Economic Cooperation to the heads of the CSTO member states for signature.
Members of the CSTO Permanent Council also talked over the draft document on an operation to be conducted by the CSTO peacekeeping forces. It was suggested that the document be included on the agenda for the next session of the CSTO Defense Ministers Council. Besides, the Permanent Council discussed the draft resolution of the Collective Security Council to establish a crisis response center. The participants of the session decided to send the draft protocol on amending the agreement on the procedures of formation and functioning of forces and resources of the CSTO collective security system to the CSTO member states for approval, BelTA reports.
