Aftershocks hit Honshu, Japan

TOKYO. September 17. KAZINFORM A series of aftershocks hit off the east coast of Japan's Honshu island early Saturday morning, but no immediate of damage or casualties were reported; Kazinform refers to China Daily.

The latest tremor, measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale, struck off the east coast of Honshu, Japan Saturday at 06:36:36 local time, according to the US Geological Survey.

The epicenter, with a depth of 17.60 km, was initially determined to be at 40.1219 degrees north latitude and 143.3306 degrees east longitude, the USGS reported; Kazinform cites China Daily.
