Afghanistan supports idea of OSCE Summit and including Afghan issues into its agenda

KABUL. May 17. KAZINFORM /Rassul Bakhamov/ "Kabul supports the idea of conduction of the OSCE Summit in Astana and including of the Afghan issues into its agenda", President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai said Monday at the meeting with OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Kazakh Secretary of State - Foreign Minister Kanat Saudabayev who is paying official visit to the country.

As the Kazakh Foreign Ministry informed, K.Saudabayev and H.Karzai discussed a wide range of issues connected with bilateral relations and activity of Kazakhstan as the OSCE chairing country.

Hamid Karzai assured that Afghanistan will take active part in preparation of the agenda of the coming OSCE Summit in the part concerning his country.

He also confirmed the interest of Afghanistan in cooperation with Kazakhstan both within the OSCE and at the bilateral level and spoke for the necessity of extension of trade and economic cooperation of the two states.

The Afghan leader expressed gratitude to the Kazakh President for humanitarian help and for initiation of educational program for one thousand Afghan students in the Kazakh universities.
