Activation of OSCE-Council of Europe coop to give impetus to work of Organizations: T.Jagland
VIENNA. July 2. KAZINFORM /Timur Bekturganov/ "Activation of interaction of the OSCE and the Council of Europe will give new impetus to the work of our organizations on promotion of the main principles of democracy, human rights and supremacy of law", Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjorn Jagland said at the session of the OSCE Permanente Council Thursday in Vienna.
The Secretary General announced the key directions of the activity of the Council of Europe and the European Union, emphasizing the necessity of interaction of the biggest international organizations amid actualization of the threats to security and stability in OSCE region.
"In the process of development cooperation between the OSCE and the Council of Europe it is necessary to provide concurrency and effectiveness of joint actions excluding overlapping and irrational use of resources of two Organizations", Thorbjorn Jagland said.
