ASTANA. February 4. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ During the implementation of the drinking water supply program the access to the centralized water supply in rural areas increased to 41%, in urban areas - to 72%. Senator Oralbai Abdykarimov said it at a sitting of the Social Council on Combating Corruption under the People's Democratic Party 'Nur Otan'.
"The number of people using imported water decreased 4 times", he noted.
However, O. Abdykarimov noted that the ccomprehensive analysis of the results of "Drinking Water" Program shows that, along with the achievements, there are shortcomings in its implementation. In particular, there are serious violations of the budget, architectural and town planning, sanitation and other laws.
"The level of corruption in the country's agro-industrial complex is too high", he added.
