Above 3 thousand of religious organizations function in Kazakhstan
ASTANA. May 15. KAZINFORM "3088 religious organizations are in Kazakhstan after re-registration," Chair of the Agency for Religious Affairs of Kazakhstan Kairat Lama Shairf informed at the briefing of the Central Communications Service under the President of Kazakhstan.
"Reducing the number is connected with the fact that about a third of the previously registered religious groups actually not functioned," K. Lama Sharif said.
Besides, the head of the Agensy informed the new classification of religious groups was created based on the work of experts Earlier 46 official religions and denominations were in the country , now their number is 17. "This is the result of refinement classifications of religious organizations", K. Lama Sharif noted.
