About 300 people go to Sochi Olympics as part of official Kazakh delegation
ASTANA. January 13. KAZINFORM Official Kazakh delegation comprising 300 participants will go to the Olympic Games in Sochi, Deputy Chairman of the Agency for Sports and Physical Education Yelsiyar Kanagatov said in an exclusive interview for primeminister.kz.
As he said, the delegation includes those people who can help athletes perform successfully at the Olympics.
"Each member of the delegation will benefit the team. 50% of licenses were given to service personnel - oilers, psychologists, doctors, coaches. Some of them, who remained without a license, will be sent to the Olympic Games as part of Kazakhstan fan groups," he added.
In addition, the delegation will include national Olympic team members, young athletes, about 40 journalists, parents of athletes, workers of Directorate of staff of national teams and sports reserve, organizers of the press center, and also sports veterans who have made great contribution to the development of Kazakhstan sports.
As for the media coverage of the Sochi Olympics, in addition to accredited journalists in Sochi, press center will be formed in Astana and Almaty.
