About 200 people remain blocked in mudslide area in Talgarsky district
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Rescuers continue to liquidate the consequences of the powerful mudflow in Talgarsky district of Almaty region.
Vice Minister of Emergency Situations Valery Petrov arrived yesterday in the place of the emergency. He together with the group of "Kazselezaschity" experts overflew the glacial lakes in the gorges called Malaya and Bolshaya Almatinka and Sredniy Talgar where the mudflow took place, 24.kz informs. Then they landed on the lake near a glacier called 150 Bezymiyanniy, which caused the disaster. It is worth noting that experts are not able to clear mud flow mass which covered a section of road that leads to children's summer camp "Sputnik" yet. There are still 200 people in the camp. Most of them are children. It is impossible to evacuate them at the moment.
