ASTANA. KAZINFORM "About 1,000 babies are born every day in Kazakhstan," director of medical assistance department of the Healthcare and Social Development Ministry of Kazakhstan Magripa Yembergenova told a briefing at the Central Communications Service.
"About 1,000 babies are born every day in Kazakhstan, while the number of births is estimated at 400,000 per year. Birthrates increased by 25% for the past 10 years thanks to the measures taken to help prematurely born babies survive. Infant mortality during the first seven days of life dropped by 2,5 times," she said.
