Ablyazov’s crime partner Y.Kosayev extradited to Kazakhstan
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - General Prosecutor of the Russian Federation has granted a request sent by the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Yerlan Kosayev's extradition.
Kosayev is under an accusation of embezzlement and legalization of funds acquired by illegal means. This was reported by the press service of the General Prosecutor's Office of Kazakhstan. In the period from 2005 to 2008, acting in an organized crime group, Y. Kosayev committed embezzlement of "BTA Bank" funds in a large scale. He , which were later legalized. Committing crimes Kosayev escaped from Kazakhstan. He was put in the international wanted list. Kosayev was detained by Russian law enforcement authorities in the city of Bryansk. Today, September 21 Y. Kosayev has been extradited from Russia to Kazakhstan. The detainee was put into a temporary detention facility in Astana. The investigation is underway.
