A. Shakirov took part in 7th sitting of OIC Human Rights Commission
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Ombudsman of Kazakhstan Askar Shakirov visited Saudi Arabia and the UAE within his working trip to the region on April 24, the press service of the Ombudsman of Kazakhstan informs.
During the meeting with the Deputy Secretary General of the OIC, the issues regarding regional cooperation and prospects of its development were discussed.
As the Ombudsman noted, the interconnection of the currently taking place in the world processes requires addressing of the issue in the global and regional format. It regards migration, poverty, extremism and many other challenges the modern world faces.
"President Nursultan Nazarbayev pays a lot of attention to development of cooperation in the region in this field. He is also an author of many initiatives in the sphere of Islamic cooperation and economic integration," A. Shakirov said.
During his stay in Jiddah, the Ombudsman of Kazakhstan took part in the 7 th sitting of the OIC Human Rights Commission.
