A number of bilateral documents inked during Nazarbayev's visit to China
BEIJING. February 22. KAZINFORM /Ruslan Suleimenov/ President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and President of the People's Republic of China Hu Jintao held an enlarged meeting in Beijing on Tuesday.
Hu Jintao expressed confidence that N. Nazarbayev's visit would add vitality and energy to the development of Kazakh-Chinese relations. "Your visit would serve as an impetus to bring our strategic partnership to a higher level. I am glad to exchange opinions on the development of our bilateral relations as well as international and regional issues," the President of China noted.
In his turn, Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev thanked Mr. Hu Jintao for warm reception and hospitality. "Kazakhstan and China share common views regarding the international policy. We support each other in the international arena," N. Nazarbayev emphasized.
The following documents were signed after the talks.
1. The inter-governmental agreement on protection of water quality of trans-boundary rivers;
2. Agreement on the transfer of sentenced persons;
3. Memo of cooperation between 'Kazakhstan Temir Zholy' JSC and China's Ministry of Railways on construction of 'Astana-Almaty' high-speed railroad;
4. USD 1.66 billion loan agreement between the State Development Bank of China and 'Samruk-Kazyna' National Welfare Fund;
5. Individual loan agreement between the Kazakhstan Development Bank and Export-Import Bank of China for the project KPI «Construction of integrated gas-chemical complex and infrastructure - the first stage" on provision of USD 5 billion for cooperation in fuel and energy sector;
6. Strategic cooperation agreement between 'Kazphosphate' LLC and SinoChem Group Corporation;
7. Memo of understanding between 'Kazatomprom' JSC and China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group regarding the participation in Industrial Investment Fund.
