A/H1N1 flu prevention group established in Almaty
ALMATY. July 24. KAZINFORM /Aigul Turysbekova/ A group for organization of anti-epidemic measures headed by Deputy Mayor of Almaty city Serik Seidumanov has been established in Almaty, Mayor of Almaty city Akhmetzhan Yessimov has informed of it during the session in Almaty; Kazinform reports.
As is known laboratory testing of the children who had recently returned to Astana from London confirmed six cases of A/H1N1 influenza. Four of them live in Almaty. Among flu infected is the girl who has a positive result of A/H1N1 testing. She refused of hospitalization and contact with her was lost. The rest children were examined and they do not have any signs of infection, - B. Seidualiyev emphasized.
According to him complication of the epidemiological situation in the city is expected in October this year. According to preliminary data about 30 per cent of population will be involved into the epidemiological process or by other words about 450 thousand people. About 100 000 people will be hospitalized. Sufficient fund of flu drugs is needed for their treatment including "Tamiflu" one pack of which covers 10 tabulates amounted to KZT 5000. According to the specialists about 1 mln dozes will be needed.
