A 54-year-old man detained for committing homicide in Astana
ASTANA. November 5. KAZINFORM — The Operations Control Center of the Internal Affairs Department of Astana has been reported on the discovery of a man's body with signs of violent death, according to the press service of the department.
Preliminary examination showed that the man had died presumably due to inflicted stab wounds to the chest. A few hours later the police officers arrested a suspect who was an unemployed resident of the Akmola region born in 1959. The detainee was repeatedly convicted for theft, grievous bodily harm and rape.
During the interrogation, the detainee explained that on November 3 his friend came to his house. During drinking of alcohol they got quarreled and the suspect knifed the victim in the chest. The arrested hide the knife, ID documents and the clothes of the killed, than he threw the dead body on the road leading to the airport.
The man has been put into the detention center of the IAD of the Astana city. The investigation is going on.
