98 people rescued from roads in Karaganda region

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - 98 people were evacuated from the Kyzylorda-Pavlodar road, the committee for emergency situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan informs.
Yesterday, May 17, the department of the emergency situation received a call from people stuck in the mud which was a result of heavy rains on the Kyzylorda-Pavlodar road in Ulytau district.
Rescue teams were sent to help people.
During the day, May 17, from 9:30 am the rescue teams evacuated from the mud 98 people including 15 children and 21 vehicles including 5 vans and one truck.
Due to heavy rain the road traffic has been closed for all types of vehicles on the road from the border of Kyzylorda region to Zhezkazgan since May 17, 5:30 pm.
