87,2% attend preschool centres in Karaganda region

At today's meeting of the local administration (akimat) those gathered debated realization of the education development program for 2011-2020. One of the key directions is to provide equal access to high-quality preschool education. 120 new centres were set up in the region providing thus another 11,000 seats. Construction and reconstruction of kindergartens for 1,280 seats and secondary schools are underway in the region. There are 20 backbone schools that unite 111 ungraded schools. Three-shift education and lack of seats were eliminated across the region. Dual education was introduced at 17 vocational and technical colleges.
