7th CIS Congress of oncologists and radiologists kicks off in Astana
ASTANA. September 5. KAZINFORM The seventh CIS congress of oncologists and radiologists opened at the Palace of Independence in Astana.
It will focus on such topical and vital questions of oncology as legal, organizational, methodological, human, scientific and educational aspects.
According to Kazakhstan's Vice Minister of Healthcare Erik Baizhunusov, public expenditures on healthcare are rising every year. This brought the provision of oncological care services in the country to a new level, increased the identification of patients with early forms of cancer.
"Our aim is to increase the length and quality of life of Kazakh people by reducing mortality of cancer. The development of joint responsibility of the citizens of the Commonwealth for their own health is important, because this factor determines not only the usefulness of its existence, but also the potential of its possibilities," Vice Minister added.
