78-year-old driver sends pregnant woman,18, into hospital

According to reports, the accident occurred on a by-road 2 kilometers from the town of Temirtau at 10:30 a.m. on December 24. The 78-year-old driver of VAZ-2106 car lost control of the vehicle on the icy highway, crossed into the oncoming lane and rammed into the Setra bus en route Karaganda-Astana. The 18-year-old pregnant passenger of the bus was rushed to a nearest maternity hospital in Temirtau. The VAZ driver and his passenger were treated at the scene. The police say other passengers of the bus escaped the car crash unharmed. An investigation has been launched.
