7 speed skating records broken at 7th Asian Games

ASTANA. February 4. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ 7 is a lucky number for these Asian Games. 7 records of the continent were broken at the 7th Asian Games in speed skating which is held in Kazakhstan.
Japanese sportsmen Masako Hozumi and Joji Kato and Korean sportsman Seung Hoon Lee and Chinese sportswoman Jing Yu set new records.
Speaking of Kazakhstan's sportsmen performances we have two medals in this event - silver one won by Dmitry Babenko in 5000 meters race and a bronze medal in a mass start.
Kazakh speed skating head coach Vladimir Sayutin emphasized that they counted on these medals. 'Regarding the other races we fully realized that we had a little chance to win there', he said.
