7.9 mln people were involved into Kazakhstan’s economy in fourth quarter of 2009

The number of salary workers amounted to 5.3 mln people. Meanwhile, the number of unemployed amounted to 531.8 thousand people, the rate of unemployment made 6.3 percent.

7.9 mln people were employed in December from which the labor force participation made 66.6 percent. The number of unemployed that month amounted to 532.9 thousand people, the rate of unemployment made 6.3 percent.

According to the data, the rate of concealed unemployment made 0.7 percent from the economically active population in December 2009.
