7.3 magnitude quake hits Xinjiang

BEIJING. KAZINFORM A 7.3-magnitude earthquake jolted Northwest China's Xinjiang region at 17:19 on Wednesday by local time, Kazinform correspondent reports.
The epicenter, with a depth of 12 km, was located at Yutian county in southwest Xinjiang. An ensuing 5.7-magnitude quake hit the same area on February 11. No immediate casualties or damage were reported. The area is populated mostly by Uyghurs.
