620 healthcare facilities built in Kazakhstan over the years of independence

ASTANA. January 2. KAZINFORM 620 healthcare facilities have been built in Kazakhstan over the years of independence. The maternal and infant mortality has been reduced and the birthrate as well as the life expectancy of the people has been increased.

The birthrate increased from 21.5 in 1991 to 22.5 in 2010. The natural increase rose from 13.3 percent in 1991 to 13.6 percent in 2010. The life expectancy increased from 67.6 years in 1991 to 68.4 in 2010.

Over the years of independence the maternal mortality also reduced from 67.2 in 1991 to 22.7 in 2010. The infant mortality reduced from 27.3 in 1991 to 16.5 in 2010.
