600 people may become «Bolashak» scholarship holders this year
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - 600 young Kazakhstanis may become scholarship holders of international presidential program "Bolashak", president of "Center of international programs" JSC Gani Nygymetov told at the CCS media briefing today.
"By the decision of the republican commission, 600 educational grants have been allocated this year within "Bolashak" program. The number of grants is limited by our budget only. It is based on the economic situation, the number varies every year. The maximum number of grants for this year will be 600," he told.
According to the statistics of the recent years, the average number of students submitting their documents for participating in "Bolashak" Program is 2000. They have to pass five rounds of different tests to become a "Bolashak" participant. "Every year the level of competition is different. However, we expect it to be high this year," he said.
